This book was first published in 1920 in Switzerland, in Latin characters. Following its success, more editions were published, some with the title "Red Oranges". The current edition is printed in Hebrew characters, and includes an academic introduction, thanks to Professor Simon Neuberg, who discovered this treasure by accident at a young age. Through these jokes, dealing with a variety of topics, such as matchmakers, rabbis, rich and poor, and so on, the humor and characteristic way of life of the East European Jewry are revealed to us.
