Moshe Almond (1907-1973) was born in Ukraine. Worked with a challenger and among the organizers von der Literarisher group "Yonge sharkaer" in Minsk (1925). During World War II, Dagestan was evacuated. His poems are translated from Pushkin and other authors, a glossary from Tatische Ward (from di barg-yiyden) and from Moldavian folklore.

Moshe Elmond (1907 – 1973) was born in Ukraine. He earned his living as a teacher and was among the organizers of the literary group "Young Workers" in Minsk (1925). During World War II he moved to Dagestan. In addition to his poems, the book also includes translations of Pushkin and other writers, a glossary (table) with lyrics in Tat (a slang of the Mountain Jews) and from the folklore of Moldova.
